| The 75s (the top pic) are double the price of the Messengers. | |

| I've heard in other forums that messengers aren't really all that great of a track crank. I mean I'm pretty sure they're better than some of the stuff out there. Don't know from experience which is what really counts though. Someone try one and lets get some feedback!! | |

| I got mine at thebikesmiths.com for $100 no tax free shipping. They have a lot of chainring combos and I even got limited edition gunmetal grey. They are sweet. | |

| they are great, not much to compare them to other than the lead weights that were on my bike before. Very light, and a noticable difference in power transfer. Pair it up with a sugino bottom bracket and you're set. | |

| I'm interested in how they are for the track as well. I'm not nearly skilled enough of a rider to need real high end stuff or anything, but since I went with a 3/32" 130BCD crank, if I ever decide to change chainrings, I'll probably just upgrade to a whole new setup so I can jump on the 1/8" 144BCD bandwagon that most track chainrings are supposed to be on. Hello new cogs, chain, crank, and BB to get the right chainline! | |

| I think a lot of times we get too caught up with what the forums and what other people tell us about our gear. I am sure if I ride on the track with my messengers i'll probablby do just as good as if I had campy records. I know I am not good enough yet to truly tell a difference so I am going to ride the stuff out of mine until I can feel that I need a change. All the top of the line equipment cant make someone a good rider! | |

| Yeah, definitely. It's kind of funny how obsessed with stiffness (or percieved stiffness) track riders are, just as road riders are with weight. Makes a difference if you're strong enough to snap chromo stems from cranking or ride hundreds of miles at a Tour de France pace, but the majority of people just need good decent gear to enjoy trying to perform their best. Plus it has to look cool. | |

| That will be my first upgrade - cranks. the Bowery comes with FSA's that look decent, but i got long strong legs and i can imagine the wasted power with the run of the mill crank. | |

| I have the messangers I like them. But been riding for a year or so I don't know if I'm out of shape or What but those puppies make me tired. They look super spicy though in gold. I do notice the tightness and better response but I don't have the best combo for those hills yet. | |

| So far 2 years with no issues. I'm not exactly light either. Id conclude that persons having problem with these cranks either misused them or improperly installed them. I just sold a set, didnt need 3 of the same setup. | |
