| This might be a dumb question : ) but I have a pair of sliver or chrome wheelset set with no braking surface. I was thinking of putting front brakes on my bike (Just in Case) because I wanted to ride to work and the area where I live has allot of traffic and not really a bike friendly area. I wanted to know if I put brakes would the brake pads work, would it be noisy & would it strip the paint off & leave a ugly black streak on my wheels? | |

| The brakes will work, but the wheels will get stained. | |

| Like paulo stated the wheels will get stained but you can remove it with a little goo gone. But with enough heat and friction the wheel's the paint will rub off. | |
